A well-established property and construction consultancy in Birmingham is looking for a Project Manager to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with a construction-related degree and several years of experience to lead commercial and residential projects across Birmingham and the wider Midlands.
The Project Manager will manage projects from inception through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams. This Project Manager role would suit a capable Project Manager who is confident taking ownership of programme, procurement, risk, reporting, and stakeholder coordination. The successful Project Manager will lead smaller and medium-sized commissions independently while supporting senior colleagues on larger and more complex projects.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Project Manager's role
The Project Manager will lead commercial and residential projects through pre-contract and post-contract stages.
The Project Manager will be responsible for programme management, consultant coordination, procurement, contract administration, risk management, change control, project reporting, and stakeholder engagement. They will chair meetings, monitor contractor performance, coordinate project information, and ensure commissions are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality.
The Project Manager will also maintain strong client relationships, provide clear professional advice, and contribute to the successful delivery of the consultancy's growing project portfolio.

The successful Project Manager will have:
Several years of project management experience within a construction consultancy
Experience delivering commercial or residential projects
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related discipline
MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, or progress towards a relevant professional qualification
Good knowledge of JCT contracts and construction procurement
Experience leading projects through pre-contract and post-contract stages
Strong client-facing, communication, and organisational skills
The ability to manage multidisciplinary consultant teams
A proactive, professional, and commercially aware approach
