A well-established property and construction consultancy is looking for an Associate Director to join its London Project Management team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Associate Director to lead major projects across the residential, commercial, mixed-use, heritage, and student accommodation sectors while playing a key role in the continued growth of the business.
The Associate Director will take ownership of high-value commissions from inception through to completion, managing key client relationships and leading multidisciplinary teams. This Associate Director role would suit an experienced Associate Director or ambitious Senior Project Manager who enjoys developing client accounts, generating repeat business, and contributing to the strategic growth of a successful consultancy. The successful Associate Director will combine strong technical project delivery with excellent commercial awareness and leadership skills.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Associate Director's role
The Associate Director will lead the delivery of major residential, commercial, mixed-use, heritage, and student accommodation projects across London and the South East.
The Associate Director will oversee project strategy, programme management, procurement, consultant coordination, contract administration, stakeholder management, risk management, and project reporting. They will provide senior leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring commissions are delivered successfully while maintaining the highest standards of client service.
Alongside project delivery, the Associate Director will grow key client accounts, generate repeat business opportunities, support fee proposals and bids, influence recruitment decisions, and mentor junior members of the project management team.
The Associate Director
The successful Associate Director will have:
Prior experience working within a construction consultancy
Proven experience leading major construction projects
Experience across residential, commercial, mixed-use, heritage, or student accommodation sectors
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related discipline
MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, or another relevant professional qualification
Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and project delivery
Experience developing client relationships and generating repeat business
Experience supporting bids and fee proposals
Strong leadership, commercial, and stakeholder management skills
A passion for mentoring teams and contributing to business growth
