A well-established manufacturer of high-precision electronic and electromechanical equipment is looking to recruit a Junior Electronics Technician to join its growing production team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their engineering career to join an innovative business that designs and manufactures advanced technology for customers worldwide. You'll receive hands-on training while working alongside experienced engineers, making this an ideal role for someone looking to build a long-term career in electronics and manufacturing.
The Role
As a Junior Electronics Technician, you'll support the assembly, inspection, testing and calibration of precision electronic products. Working within a modern manufacturing environment, you'll gain exposure to a variety of engineering processes while developing your technical skills.
Whether you've recently completed a college course, engineering apprenticeship or already have a year or two of industry experience, this role offers excellent training and career development.
Responsibilities
* Assemble precision electronic and electromechanical products.
* Build products from engineering drawings and work instructions.
* Carry out inspection and quality checks on components and finished assemblies.
* Assist with testing and calibration using specialist equipment.
* Use hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
* Pick and prepare components for production.
* Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
* Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
* Work closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams.
* Learn new manufacturing processes and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
The Candidate
This role would suit a college leaver, apprentice or junior technician looking to develop a career within electronics manufacturing.
You could be:
* A recent Level 3, BTEC, NVQ, HNC or HND Engineering graduate.
* An apprentice looking for your next opportunity.
* An Electronics, Manufacturing or Assembly Technician with 1–2 years' industry experience.
You'll ideally have:
* A genuine interest in electronics and engineering.
* Experience using hand tools in a workshop or manufacturing environment.
* The ability to read engineering drawings (or a willingness to learn).
* Good attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
* Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
* Practical hobbies such as electronics projects, 3D printing, robotics, RC models, PC building or vehicle mechanics would be advantageous.
