About the Role

We are looking for an organised and proactive Production Planner / Scheduler to join our manufacturing team. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling production activities to ensure customer orders are delivered on time while maximising efficiency across the manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and maintain daily and weekly production schedules.

* Create and release manufacturing works orders using the MRP system.

* Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as required.

* Liaise with Purchasing to ensure materials are available.

* Work closely with Production, Quality and Logistics teams.

* Manage priorities to meet customer delivery dates.

* Maintain accurate production planning records.

About You

* Previous experience in a Production Planner or Scheduler role.

* Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

* Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.

* Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

* Good Microsoft Excel and computer skills.

* Excellent attention to detail.

Desirable

* Experience within sheet metal fabrication or engineering.

* Knowledge of laser cutting, fabrication, welding and assembly processes.

* Continuous improvement or lean manufacturing experience.

* Understanding of production capacity planning and scheduling principles.
