We are recruiting on behalf of our client, the UK's largest car and light commercial vehicle rental provider, for a Vehicle Technician to join their Cardiff team. This is an excellent opportunity for a fully qualified Vehicle Technician seeking a role within a reputable and expansive company.
Benefits:
Competitive starting salary up to £37,639 per annum, with potential on-target earnings of £43,639 through various bonuses
Overtime paid at enhanced rate (time and a half), subject to availability
23 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays

42.5-hour work week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:30pm, plus 1 in 4 Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm (paid as overtime)Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
Conduct electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance on a range of cars and light commercial vehicles
Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults accurately
Repair or replace faulty parts following manufacturer standards as a Vehicle Technician
Carry out preventative maintenance to ensure vehicle reliability
Prepare vehicles for MOT testing
Contribute as part of a team, ensuring high-quality workmanship
Maintain compliance with health and safety standards within the workshop environment
Maintain detailed records of work carried out for each vehicleRequirements OF A Vehicle Technician:
Live within reasonable commuting distance of Cardiff
Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, with several years of practical experience preferred
Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
Strong team player with excellent organisation and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
High standard of workmanship and a methodical approach to tasks
