We're looking for an experienced Production Manager to join our clients expanding business for a specialist manufacturer in South Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious manufacturing professional to take ownership of production operations, inspire a skilled team, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining the outstanding quality that customers expect.

The Opportunity

As Production Manager, you'll be responsible for leading the day to day operations, ensuring production runs efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with our Sales, Operations and Leadership teams, you'll oversee production planning, team development, quality assurance and process improvement, ensuring customer orders are delivered accurately and on time.

This is a leadership role where you'll combine operational management with technical expertise to support the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and develop a highly skilled production team, creating a positive and high performing working environment.

* Plan and coordinate daily production schedules to meet customer delivery deadlines.

* Drive productivity, efficiency and continuous improvement across the fabrication department.

* Ensure all products meet the exacting quality standards required.

* Review technical drawings, templates and production information to ensure accurate manufacture.

* Support sales and customer service teams with technical advice and fabrication solutions.

* Manage workflow, labour allocation and production priorities.

* Train, mentor and develop team members, encouraging continuous learning and high performance.

* Conduct staff reviews and support individual development plans.

* Maintain exceptional housekeeping and organisation throughout the production facility.

* Ensure machinery and equipment are maintained, inspected and operating safely.

* Champion Health & Safety, ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry legislation.

* Monitor stock levels, materials and consumables to support uninterrupted production.

* Work collaboratively with senior management to improve operational performance and customer satisfaction.

About You

You'll be an experienced production leader with a passion for quality manufacturing and developing people.

You'll ideally have:

* Previous experience managing production within a manufacturing, engineering or fabrication environment.

* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.

* Excellent planning and organisational abilities.

* A practical, hands-on approach to solving production challenges.

* A commitment to delivering exceptional quality and customer service.

* Good understanding of Health & Safety and continuous improvement principles.

* Experience interpreting technical drawings and manufacturing specifications.

* Engineering, manufacturing or fabrication qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential
