The Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned servicing, preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis on a range of CNC machine tools at customer sites. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering business that invests in its people and offers long-term career development.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on CNC machine tools.
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs where required.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing a professional service at all times.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company health and safety procedures.
Complete service documentation accurately and communicate technical information internally in line with company quality processes.
About You
Time-served engineer with a recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
Based within the Greater Manchester area, with the ability to travel to customer sites across the North of England and occasionally throughout the UK and Ireland.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Proactive approach to fault finding and problem solving.
Good knowledge of CNC turning and milling machine tools.
Previous experience servicing or maintaining CNC machine tools is desirable.
Experience with Fanuc, Siemens and/or Heidenhain CNC controls is advantageous.
