Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work or your next long-term opportunity?

Teach is currently recruiting caring, enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with a range of additional needs in primary, secondary and specialist education settings.

We have opportunities available on a day-to-day, short-term, long-term and permanent basis, supporting pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language needs and other learning difficulties.

Whether you're an experienced SEN TA or have relevant transferable experience, we'll work with you to find a role that matches your skills, experience and availability.

Working Hours

* Monday to Friday

* Typical school hours: 8:15am – 3:30pm (may vary by school)

Your Responsibilities

Depending on the role, you may be required to:

* Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with additional needs

* Support pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH and other SEND requirements

* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging learning activities

* Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour

* Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs

* Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers

* Follow Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) where appropriate

* Maintain accurate records and follow all safeguarding procedures

Requirements

To be considered, you will have:

* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND in a school or similar setting

* A patient, caring and positive approach

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

* A flexible and professional attitude

* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Desirable (but not essential):

* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

* Experience supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH or Speech & Language needs

* Experience within mainstream or specialist education settings

Salary

Competitive rates of pay, dependent on experience, qualifications and the responsibilities of each role.
