The Role
An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Legal Secretary/Assistant to join a busy and well-established Property team. Supporting Fee Earners across Residential Conveyancing and Commercial Property, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department while delivering a high standard of administrative and client support.
This is a varied position suited to an organised, proactive individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced legal environment and takes pride in providing exceptional service to both clients and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to Fee Earners within the Property Department.
Prepare legal documents, correspondence and reports with a high level of accuracy.
Manage diaries, appointments and client communications.
Liaise professionally with clients, solicitors, estate agents and other third parties.
Open, maintain and close client files, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and legal standards.
Assist with file management in a paperless environment.
Handle telephone enquiries, incoming post and general office administration.
Support the team in meeting deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail.About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
Previous experience working within a Residential Conveyancing or Property Department.
Experience working in a solicitor's practice.
Excellent administrative, secretarial and IT skills.
Confidence working within a paperless case management environment.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A professional and client-focused approach.
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
