An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading UK civil engineering contractor on a major long-term infrastructure scheme in the Cheshire area.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a technically challenging project with a well-established commercial team, supporting the delivery of a nationally significant engineering programme.
The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you'll play a key role in the commercial management of a major civils package from procurement through to final account.
Responsibilities will include:
Managing subcontractor procurement and commercial administration
Preparing and agreeing valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
Managing compensation events and change control under NEC contracts
Cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow management
Identifying and mitigating commercial risks and opportunities
Building strong relationships with the client, supply chain and project delivery teams
Supporting the commercial performance of the project throughout its lifecycle
About You
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or major infrastructure
Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
Experience managing subcontractor accounts and commercial reporting
Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
The ability to work independently within a busy project environmentExperience within sectors such as ground engineering, industrial construction, energy, heavy civils or major infrastructure would be highly advantageous.
