Prospero Teaching is looking for dedicated and compassionate SEN Tutors to provide tailored 1:1 educational support to children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across Southwark.
As an SEN Tutor, you will plan and deliver personalised lessons that meet the individual learning needs of each student.
Many pupils may have diagnoses such as Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH needs, speech and language difficulties, or learning difficulties, and may require a specialist, patient, and nurturing approach to education.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced teachers, tutors, SEN specialists, or support professionals who are passionate about making a meaningful difference outside of a traditional classroom setting.
Prospero Teaching works closely with tutors to monitor pupil progress, provide ongoing support, and ensure each learner receives the highest quality educational provision.
Experience:
QTS, QTLS, PGCE, SEN qualification, EYFS qualification, or equivalent teaching/tutoring qualification
Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs
Experience delivering 1:1 interventions, tutoring, or personalised learning support
Strong understanding of SEN strategies and differentiated learning approaches
Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable but not essential)Prospero Teaching is able to offer the successful candidate:
Accredited continued professional development courses including safeguarding and behaviour management
