Senior Health and Safety Manager London | £100,000 + Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits

Irwin and Colton has been engaged by a leading principal contractor to recruit a Senior Health and Safety Manager. The company is delivering a broad range of construction and civil engineering projects, including large-scale commercial developments and major infrastructure schemes.

The organisation is looking for a forward-thinking individual who can bring fresh ideas to its health and safety team and help to build on its award-winning safety programme. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading high-performing health and safety teams, whilst engaging and influencing senior leaders.

Responsibilities for the Senior Health and Safety Manager will include:

Leading the health and safety team to ensure the successful delivery of the health and safety strategy across multiple projects
Influencing, engaging and coaching key internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement
Identifying opportunities to improve health and safety performance and sharing best practice across the organisation
Monitoring performance, providing strategic guidance and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company standardsThe successful Senior Health and Safety Manager will have:

Proven leadership experience in a similar role, ideally within construction, civil engineering or a related industry
A strong track record of influencing, engaging and coaching senior leaders and operational teams
A NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent health and safety qualification
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive positive cultural changeThis position will suit an individual who is passionate about health and safety and committed to driving high performance across a complex project portfolio.
