NEOS Engineering are currently working with a leading construction plant business that is looking to recruit a PDI Technician to join their depot in Mildenhall.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys preparing brand-new machinery to the highest standard before it reaches the customer. You'll be joining a well-established business with a strong reputation for investing in its people, offering long-term career progression and manufacturer training.
The Role
As a PDI Technician, you'll be responsible for inspecting, preparing and commissioning new machinery, ensuring it is fully operational and presented to the highest standard before delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new machinery.
Assemble and prepare new equipment for customer delivery.
Complete final checks, testing and commissioning.
Install optional accessories and customer-specific requirements.
Diagnose and rectify any faults prior to handover.
Complete all relevant paperwork and inspection reports.
Maintain high workshop and health & safety standards.
You will ideally have:
Previous experience as a PDI Technician, Workshop Engineer or Plant Fitter.
Strong mechanical knowledge with basic electrical fault-finding skills.
A proactive attitude and keen eye for detail.
NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plant Maintenance, Heavy Vehicle, Agricultural Engineering or similar (desirable).
Full UK Driving Licence.
