Their Building Services division works across a diverse portfolio of developments, including education, commercial, retail, industrial, leisure, healthcare and residential projects, delivering sustainable and technically innovative Mechanical and Electrical design solutions.
With continued growth across the business, they are looking to expand their Mechanical Building Services team by appointing a Mechanical Design Engineer who is looking to develop their technical expertise while working on a wide variety of prestigious projects.
The Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll become part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality Mechanical Building Services designs across all stages of a project. Working closely with experienced engineers, architects, contractors and other consultants, you'll contribute to the design of efficient, sustainable and technically robust building services systems.

Responsibilities
Produce Mechanical Building Services designs from concept through to detailed design.
Design HVAC, heating, ventilation, cooling and public health systems.
Prepare technical calculations, reports, specifications and design documentation.
Attend client, design and technical coordination meetings.
Liaise with architects, structural engineers, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams.
Ensure designs comply with current Building Regulations, British Standards and health & safety legislation.
Provide advice on sustainability, energy efficiency and carbon reduction strategies.
Carry out building surveys and produce technical reports with recommendations.
Support the delivery of projects through construction and installation phases.
Produce and develop designs using industry-standard software including Revit, AutoCAD, IES and Hevacomp.
Requirements
Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience within a Mechanical Building Services Design role.
Consultancy or contractor design experience.
Knowledge of Mechanical Building Services design principles.
Experience using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, IES and Hevacomp.
Strong communication and client-facing skills.
Well organised with excellent attention to detail.
Working towards Chartered Engineer status would be advantageous.
A proactive attitude with a desire to continue developing professionally.
