ANZUK Education is working with a range of supportive and diverse secondary schools in South east London seeking flexible and adaptable MFL Teachers to support their teams from September 2026. This role offers the opportunity to teach Modern Foreign Languages across key stages, support learning in different school environments, and maintain strong behaviour practice. This MFL Teacher role in SE London would suit experienced MFL Teachers, ECTs confident with behaviour management, or MFL specialists looking for a long-term role.

Key Responsibilities of a MFL Teacher:

Maintain high expectations for pupil behaviour and learning.

*

Deliver engaging and effective Modern Foreign Languages lessons across KS3–KS4 (and KS5 where applicable).

*

Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of different classes and learning abilities.

*

Support pupils’ engagement, progress, and positive conduct.

*

Follow school safeguarding, behaviour, and reporting procedures.

*

Build positive relationships with students and staff across school settings.

*

Undertake full teaching responsibilities, including planning, assessment, and marking.

*

Develop students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in one or more modern foreign languages, such as French, Spanish, or German.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold QTS or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification (essential).

*

Be a confident ECT or an experienced teacher within the secondary phase.

*

Demonstrate strong knowledge of the MFL curriculum for KS3–KS4.

*

Have the ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.

*

Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, attainment, and behaviour.

*

Show an exemplary commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

*

Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues and school leaders.
