Leading consultancy seeks a Commercial Administrator, who ideally has experience of working on the rail or construction industries, for a contract role in London.

This position is for an initial 12-month contract and will see you work on a major rail programme.

As Commercial Administrator you provide essential administrative and commercial support to Head of Commercial. This role is crucial for the efficient operation of the commercial function and assisting with contractual management tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:
Assist with general administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
Organise and maintain commercial documentation, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance with record-keeping policies.
Manage correspondence, including drafting emails and letters, and distributing communications to relevant stakeholders.
Support the preparation of presentations and reports for internal and external meetings

Commercial Process Support:
Assist in the preparation and review of commercial documents, such as instructions, processes, and reports.
Support with the monitoring of project costs, budgets, and financial performance data.
Assist with the administration of agreements, including maintaining decision/sign off registers and commercial trackers.
Support the commercial team in identifying and documenting potential risks and opportunities.

Data Management and Analysis:
Input and maintain data in commercial management systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Assist in gathering, extracting and collating data for various commercial analyses and reports.
Support the commercial team in data reconciliation and verification tasks.

Communication and Collaboration:
Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding administrative and day-to-day commercial queries.
Facilitate effective communication within the commercial team and with other functional groups within the Alliance.
Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Compliance and Governance:
Assist in ensuring compliance with the company's and internal commercial procedures.
Support the commercial team in maintaining accurate audit trails for all commercial activities.

Job Requirements:

Essential:
Proven experience in an administrative or support role, preferably within a commercial, finance, or project environment.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently with guidance.
A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and taking on new tasks.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
