Our Middlesex based client is seeking a dedicated Operations Assistant Manager to join their thriving Gardening Department. If you have a strong background in grounds maintenance and are passionate about delivering exceptional service, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Operations Manager in the overall management of the Gardening Department.
- Support daily work dispatch by guiding supervisors and operatives.
- Help in scheduling tasks and managing workloads.
- Cover for the Operations Manager during periods of absence.
- Address staff issues and escalate when necessary.
- Provide quotes for one-off jobs, grounds contracts, and tree works.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure high-quality standards.
- Monitor and guide field operatives to enhance their skills and performance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards across the team.
- Manage incoming client communications and maintain positive relationships.
- Identify opportunities for additional services to clients.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in grounds maintenance.
- Proficiency with a range of garden machinery.
- Strong knowledge of plants and trees.
- A full, clean driving licence is essential.
- Computer skills, emails etc
Personal Attributes:
- Presentable, self-motivated, and proactive.
- Excellent communication skills for client and staff interactions.
- Ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.

Package:
- £17.00 per hour (equiv £35K per Annum doe)
