We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our team on a temporary to permanent basis for an exciting construction project involving the conversion of an existing property, including extensive internal alterations and a new extension.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Site Manager looking for long-term employment with a growing contractor delivering high-quality construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring work is completed safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour.
Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
Monitor programme, quality and productivity to meet project milestones.
Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and regular safety inspections.
Liaise with clients, consultants and the project management team.
Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries and progress reports.
Resolve site issues efficiently while maintaining project momentum.
Ensure all works comply with drawings, specifications and building regulations.
Essential Requirements
Proven experience as a Site Manager on refurbishment, conversion and extension projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methods and sequencing.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain programme delivery.
Valid SMSTS qualification.
CSCS Managers Card.
First Aid at Work certification.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
Experience working on occupied or sensitive buildings.
Knowledge of building regulations and quality assurance processes.
Temporary Works or Fire Marshal training (advantageous).
