Job Purpose
The Shunter Driver Leader is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective management of daily shunting operations across the site. The role combines operational shunting duties with team leadership, ensuring that trailers, vehicles and resources are positioned correctly to support warehouse and production activities without disruption.
Key Duties
* Lead the daily operation of the on-site shunter team.
* Coordinate trailer movements to ensure trailers are in the correct location at the correct time.
* Maintain sufficient availability of empty trailers to support operational requirements.
* Ensure warehouse and production operations are not delayed due to poor trailer management or resource allocation.
* Plan, prioritise and coordinate shunting activities throughout each shift.
* Maintain continuous awareness of vehicle movements and trailer locations across the site.
Due to the nature of the role, flexibility is an essential requirement. You will work rotational AM/PM shifts and night shifts.
You must have previous experience in transport/shunting operations and strong organisational skills
