Contract/Project
This hands-on role involves the build and assembly of special purpose machinery, including mechanical fitting, electrical wiring, and working to tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and assemble various types of special purpose machinery and sub-assemblies from scratch
Precision mechanical fitting and assembly work
Point-to-point wiring, cable crimping, and termination
Use a range of hand tools (spanners, screwdrivers, ratchet sets) and power tools
Read and work from detailed engineering drawings
Use of measuring equipment such as Verniers and Micrometers
Experience with vacuum systems is beneficial
Must be able to work to very tight tolerances
Previous experience building complex machinery is essential
Pay Rates (PAYE):
Training Rate: £14.01 per hour
Standard Shift Rate: £16.11 per hour
Overtime 1.5 (OT 1.5x): £21.02 per hour
Emergency Overtime (x2.00): £28.02 per hour
Working Hours:
Training Period:
6:30 am - 3:30 pm (Monday to Friday)
After Training:
6:30 am - 6:30 pm (4 days on / 4 days off)
