As a QTS Home Tuition Tutor, you will be responsible for creating, planning and delivering tailored 1:1 lessons to bridge gaps in pupils' education while boosting engagement and attainment. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced teacher looking to step away from the classroom and provide more personalised, enjoyable learning experiences.
Many of these pupils have been out of education for an extended period, meaning their confidence and engagement may be low. Your role will be to re-engage them in learning, rebuild their confidence, and provide structure to their daily routine through high-quality, individualised tuition.
Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to monitor each pupil's progress and support effective learning outcomes.
Contract/Position Details
Location - Within the community or pupil's home in Wolverhampton
Position - QTS Home Tuition Tutor
Type of work - Contract
Start date - ASAP
Duration - Until the pupil can reintegrate into a new school placement
End date (if applicable) - Ongoing
Contract type - Temporary
Full-time/Part-time - Part-time (15 hours per week, per student)
Minimum rate of pay - £22+ per hour
Hours - Working hours can vary depending on the family's availability
Experience, Training and Qualifications
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have UK classroom teaching experience
Makaton training or experience using Makaton to support communication is highly desirable
Be creative, patient, and able to think outside the box
Have experience working with pupils with SEND and/or those who are disengaged from education
To Be Eligible for This Role, You Must
Hold the right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate with children's barred list check registered on the DBS Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new enhanced DBS check
