Service Manager
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: Up to £40,170 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week
Lead a specialist service and make a meaningful difference to the lives of people living with acquired brain injuries and complex neurological conditions.
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Service Manager to join our team at Brownswood, a specialist residential care home in Milton Keynes supporting 9 adults with acquired brain injuries and complex neurological needs.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced care leader, as well as newly qualified Level 5 Leaders and Managers who are ready to take the next step into a Service Manager position. We also welcome applications from established managers seeking a return to a hands-on, full-service management role within a supportive and well-established environment.
About the Role
As Service Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, operational management and regulatory compliance of the service. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care while leading and developing a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes for the people we support.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the day-to-day operations of the service and ensuring high standards of care and support
* Providing visible, hands-on leadership, guidance and support to colleagues
* Managing and developing multidisciplinary teams to achieve service objectives
* Maintaining compliance with CQC regulations and relevant legislation
* Obtaining and maintaining Registered Manager status with the CQC
* Overseeing budgets, staffing levels and resource management
* Leading recruitment, induction, training and staff development activities
* Managing performance, wellbeing and engagement across the team
* Supporting a culture of continuous improvement, quality and person-centred care
* Ensuring safe staffing levels and effective workforce planning
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* QCF/NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
* Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, standards and statutory requirements
* Experience managing registered care services
* The ability to lead, inspire and develop high-performing teams
* Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
* Experience managing budgets, staffing and service performance
* A commitment to delivering outstanding person-centred care
* A valid UK driving licence
