Senior Business Analyst - Active BPSS Clearance - Initial 3 months - £300 - Inside IR35 - Some work required on public sector throughout UK

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a major government-focused programme. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced Agile environment, helping to deliver business and technology change across complex stakeholder landscapes.

The successful candidate will combine strong business analysis skills with a collaborative approach, providing coaching, knowledge transfer, and support to teams while driving best practice in Agile delivery and workload management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis activities across complex projects and programmes.
• Elicit, analyse, document and validate business requirements.
• Work closely with delivery teams, product owners and stakeholders to define business needs and translate them into actionable outcomes.
• Support Agile delivery practices and facilitate continuous improvement.
• Coach and mentor team members, promoting knowledge sharing and best-practice approaches.
• Assist with backlog management, prioritisation and delivery planning.
• Identify risks, dependencies and opportunities for process improvement.
• Produce high-quality business analysis documentation and artefacts.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful delivery outcomes.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience working as a Senior Business Analyst within large and complex environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks.
• Ability to coach and mentor colleagues, encouraging continuous improvement and knowledge transfer.
• Excellent requirements gathering, process mapping and analysis skills.
• Strong facilitation and workshop management experience.
• Experience supporting workload management and delivery planning activities.

Desirable Skills

• Experience using Azure DevOps for backlog management, planning and Agile delivery processes.
• Previous experience working within central government or public sector organisations.
• Familiarity with digital transformation and business change programmes.

Requirements

• Active SC Clearance is essential.
• British National status is required.
• Ability to work on-site in London, Milton Keynes or East Kilbride as required.
