We re seeking a Data Center Capacity Engineer to join a global Edge Network Services team, helping deliver the infrastructure that powers some of the worlds largest digital platforms. This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of next-generation data centre technology, supporting AI-driven workloads and large-scale infrastructure deployments.
About the RoleAs the sole engineer based at the Clonee data centre, you'll play a critical role in managing the end-to-end life cycle of infrastructure racks, ensuring capacity is delivered efficiently while maintaining world-class operational standards.
Working alongside a global team of engineers, you'll collaborate with Production Operations, Space & Power, Field Operations, Hardware Placement and Provisioning Engineering teams to deliver scalable, reliable infrastructure across multiple data centres.
What you'll Be Doing- Own the end-to-end life cycle of data centre racks, including deployments, moves and decommissions.
- Coordinate rack provisioning to meet capacity and delivery targets.
- Resolve infrastructure issues related to provisioning, cabling, hardware failures and maintenance.
- Assess and manage rack space, power and cooling requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver capacity on schedule.
- Develop and implement solutions that improve infrastructure efficiency and scalability.
- Support the rollout of new hardware technologies and infrastructure refresh programmes.
- Contribute to AI-enabled automation initiatives that streamline operational processes.
you'll be an experienced data centre professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and thrives in an autonomous environment.
Essential Skills & Experience- Minimum 3 years experience in a data centre environment.
- Hands-on experience with Servers, storage and networking hardware.
- Strong understanding of data centre power, cooling and space management.
- Experience working within hyperscale or large colocation environments (such as Meta, Google, Amazon, Microsoft or similar) is highly desirable.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Take ownership of an entire data centre site.
- Work with cutting-edge AI infrastructure and next-generation hardware.
- Be part of a collaborative global engineering team of over 40 specialists.
- Gain exposure to hyperscale infrastructure projects.
- Enjoy significant autonomy while receiving ongoing mentorship from experienced engineers.
- Play a key role in shaping future capacity and infrastructure standards.
you'll be responsible for delivering rack deployments within a 5-day Service Level Objective (SLO), ensuring new infrastructure is connected and operational within five business days of arrival. Success is measured by consistently achieving this target while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and operational excellence.
