Role: Independent Fostering Reviewing Officer

Locations: South-West (Bristol and surrounding areas such as Bath, South Gloucestershire, Somerset, Taunton, Bridgwater, etc)

Pay - £40 per hour

The Role

Independent Fostering Reviewing Officer

Key Responsibilities:

* To carry out statutory annual reviews of Foster Carers.

* To satisfy TACT that the foster carers continue to be suitable to be professional foster carers and that all safeguarding issues are addressed.

* to make recommendation to TACT in regard to foster carers terms of approval.

* To give the carer, the social worker of any child in placement, birth children and fostered children the opportunity to give feedback about the placement

* To be part of TACT’s Quality Assurance processes

* To ensure foster carers are enabling children to reach their full potential

What You’ll Need

* Dip SW/CSS/CQSW/Degree in Social Work

* Registered with Social Work England.

* Standard DBS (processed by TACT)

* Please see the Job Information Pack for a full breakdown of the role.

Travel

* Homebased role (candidates should be located in the South West area)

* Travel may be required for training and in-person reviews where needed.

Key Dates

* Closing Date: Monday, 3rd August 2026

* Interviews: Thursday, 20th August 2026 (Microsoft Teams)
