Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

About the School

We are working with a specialist provision in Wakefield that supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school provides a nurturing and structured environment where students are encouraged to develop both academically and personally.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated SEMH Teacher to make a real difference while working alongside a supportive and experienced team.

As an SEMH Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs.
Create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Support students with emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement.
Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies where required.
Work closely with support staff, parents/carers, and external professionals.
Build positive relationships that promote confidence and resilience.What We're Looking For:

QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience working with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour.
Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
A patient, resilient, and proactive approach.
Experience in a specialist or alternative provision setting is desirable.To be eligible, you must:

Hold QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent qualification.
Have the Right to Work in the UK.
Hold an enhanced child DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for one.
