Active Force Recruitment is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a leading automotive organisation for an experienced Level 3 or Level 4 Diagnostic & Specialist Technician to join its established workshop based in Portbury, Bristol.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician with proven diagnostic expertise to join a professional, high-performing workshop where quality, efficiency and technical excellence are at the heart of every operation.
The Role
As a Diagnostic & Specialist Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a diverse range of vehicles, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately and to the highest standards. Working as part of an experienced workshop team, you will play a key role in delivering first-class technical support and maintaining exceptional levels of workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and rectify complex mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
* Carry out advanced repairs using manufacturer and specialist diagnostic equipment.
* Complete servicing, maintenance and repairs to a consistently high standard.
* Interpret technical information and diagnostic data to identify root causes efficiently.
* Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and health & safety requirements.
* Maintain accurate workshop documentation and repair records.
* Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues where required.
* Contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of the workshop.
About You
* Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent industry experience.
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding experience across modern vehicle systems.
* Excellent understanding of mechanical, electrical and or electronic vehicle technology.
* Confident using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and workshop management systems.
* A professional, methodical approach with a strong commitment to quality and attention to detail.
* Full UK Driving Licence.

* Competitive annual salary of £42,486.12.
* Monday to Friday working pattern, 07:15 – 15:45.
