Bright Star Talent is recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN school for autistic children and young people aged 11 to 19. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Instructor with a recognised Education degree who is passionate about supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) to achieve their full potential.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates and experienced education professionals looking to develop their career within a highly supportive specialist setting.
The Role
As an SEN Instructor, you will:
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons and learning activities.
* Support autistic students with a range of learning, communication and sensory needs.
* Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes.
* Foster independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff.
* Assess, monitor and record student progress.
* Promote students' social, emotional and personal development.
* Create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
* Encourage students to develop essential life skills and prepare for adulthood.
Essential Requirements
* A recognised Education degree (essential).
* Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
* A passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, resilience and a positive attitude.
* Strong classroom management skills.
* Knowledge or experience of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) is desirable.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
