Team Leader / Assistant Team Leader
📍 Cleckheaton, BD19 💷 £13.50 per hour 🕒 7:00am - 3:30pm (flexibility required) 📅 5 days out of 7, including weekend working on a rota basis
Join a Leading Fresh Produce Grower
Our client is a well-established industrial greenhouse operation specialising in the growing and production of fresh produce. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit experienced Team Leaders and Assistant Team Leaders to support daily operations at their site in Cleckheaton (BD19).
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for motivating teams, maintaining productivity, and ensuring high standards of quality and safety are achieved throughout the operation.
Key Responsibilities as an Assistant Team Leader
Leading and supporting operational teams to achieve daily targets
Supervising staff performance and ensuring productivity standards are met
Assisting with planning workload and allocating resources effectively
Ensuring quality standards are maintained at all times
Promoting and enforcing health & safety procedures
Supporting training and development of team members
Working closely with management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
What We're Looking For
Previous experience as a Team Leader, Assistant Team Leader, Supervisor, or similar leadership role
Experience within fresh produce, horticulture, food production, manufacturing, warehousing, or a similar busy environment is advantageous
Strong communication and people management skills
Ability to motivate and develop team members
Flexible approach to working hours and weekend working
Reliable, hardworking, and able to lead by example
Working Hours
Standard hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm
Flexibility is essential as start and finish times may vary depending on operational requirements and workflow
The business operates 7 days per week
You will work 5 days out of 7, including weekends on a rota basis
Location
The role is based in Cleckheaton, BD19. Due to the site location and working hours, we encourage applications from local candidates or those with access to their own transport.
