Vehicle Fitter

Are you an experienced Vehicle Fitter with a passion for quality workmanship? Do you enjoy building specialist vehicles and seeing a project come together from start to finish? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Vehicle Fitter to join our production team at our Kidderminster site.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on the build of specialist refuse and recycling collection vehicles, using a variety of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical skills within a supportive and collaborative workshop environment.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Vehicle Fitter, you'll play a key role in the production of high-quality specialist vehicles. Your responsibilities will include:

* Building specialist refuse and recycling collection vehicles to a high standard.

* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and carrying out work in line with build packs.

* Using a range of power tools and carrying out mechanical assembly work.

* Installing and working with hydraulic and electrical systems.

* Carrying out MIG welding where required (training may be available).

* Completing work efficiently to meet production schedules and build deadlines.

* Identifying and reporting any build issues or design improvements during the production process.

* Recording build information and process updates to support future vehicle builds.

* Working alongside subcontractors, including camera, weighing and ancillary equipment installers, to ensure builds progress smoothly.

* Assisting with vehicle inspections, testing and final preparation.

* Completing all relevant production documentation accurately.

* Supporting the wider team and carrying out additional duties as required.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving and is committed to producing quality vehicles.

Ideally, you'll have:

* Mechanical experience, preferably within commercial vehicles, HGVs, manufacturing or a similar engineering environment.

* Experience using power tools in a production or workshop setting.

* A good understanding of hydraulics and vehicle electrics.

* MIG welding experience (desirable but not essential).

* The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

* Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.

* The confidence to work independently while also contributing as part of a collaborative team.

* A willingness to learn new skills and continuously develop.

* The ability to work to deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Why Join Us?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing organisation where your skills and contribution will be valued. You'll work on specialist vehicles, receive ongoing support and development, and become part of a friendly, experienced team committed to delivering high-quality products.

If you're looking for a rewarding, hands-on role where every day brings a new challenge and the opportunity to build something exceptional, we'd love to hear from you.
