This is a contract until 30.09.2026 (with the possibility of extension), offering up to £600 per day (Umbrella), based in Corsham with up to 3 days per week on site, depending on business needs.

The focus of the position
Lead on in-year budget management, financial governance and control
Drive robust financial planning and forecasting for a key portfolio
Manage charging and billing processes (recharges, cost allocations, etc.)
Support and challenge investment appraisals and business cases
Apply and embed Government Finance principles in day-to-day decision-making
What our client is looking for
Current SC Security Clearance (strongly prefered)
Strong track record in government finance, ideally within central government or similar
Proven financial planning, forecasting and budgeting experience
Hands-on charging / billing / recharging background
Recognised professional financial qualification, or working towards one (e.g. CCAB/CIMA)
Comfortable with IT and financial systems; CP&F exposure would be an advantage
MOD / defence experience is highly desirable but not strictly mandatory if you bring strong government finance expertise
