We are offering an exciting opportunity for a professional construction specialist with industry and classroom experience to join the School of Construction and the Built Environment. The post holder will teach and assess on a range of apprenticeship programmes and T-Levels, providing high levels of teaching and assessment for candidates to achieve a high level of occupational competence against apprenticeship standards. The post holder will work with apprentices and T-Level students to instil the necessary skills, knowledge, behaviours required in their occupation. The post holder will play an active role in leading on T-Level delivery and holding the students as high standards to achieve excellent grades in their external exams.

The post holder will play an active role in ensuring quality assurance is at the core of their practice and support the lead IV in their duties, underpinned by the college’s quality cycle.

The successful applicant will have:

* Level 6 Degree in a Professional Construction area

* Relevant Level 5 teaching qualification (or committed to work towards in line with contractual requirements)

* Level 3 Assessor Award or equivalent

This role is particularly important given the current skills gap in the construction industry, particularly in areas such as sustainable construction and digital construction technologies. We are looking for someone who can bring their industry knowledge and experience to help shape the next generation of construction professionals.
