£28,000 - £36,000 + Full Training + Teachers' Pension + Mileage/Travel + Progression + Excellent Benefits

Field based, commutable from Cambridge, Ely, Newmarket, St Neots, Huntingdon, Royston, Saffron Walden and surrounding areas (travel to employer sites required).

Are you an Engineering professional with strong industry experience, looking to move into a training / assessing role where you can support apprentices and help them progress through their qualification?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established Work Based Learning team as an Engineering Trainer Assessor, where you will get full training into teaching, to take the next step in your career and help shape the next generation of engineers.

This role offers a great mix of autonomy and support. You'll be the key point of contact for learners and employers, building relationships, setting targets, completing progress reviews and ensuring the training plan is robust and up to date. If you already hold TAQA/A1 you'll hit the ground running, but support to complete or refresh assessor qualifications can be available.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 Engineering qualification, strong hands-on engineering experience, and be confident working with employers and learners. You'll also need a full driving licence and be comfortable travelling between sites.

The Role
* Manage a caseload of engineering apprentices and support them through to completion
* Deliver coaching/training and assess knowledge, skills and behaviours in the workplace
* Complete progress reviews with learners and employers, setting targets and timescales
* Support learners through gateway and end point assessment preparation

The Person
* Level 3 qualification in Engineering (or relevant vocational area)
* Industry experience and strong understanding of workplace standards
* Assessor qualification (TAQA / A1 / CAVA) or willingness to work towards
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel around the Cambridge area
