Wood Machinist
Rate: £18.00 - £22.00 per hour (DOE)
We're recruiting for an experienced Wood Machinist to join a leading bespoke joinery manufacturer producing high-quality joinery, furniture and interior fit-out packages for commercial, hospitality, retail and workplace environments.
Working within a well-equipped workshop, you'll be responsible for machining high-quality components to precise specifications while maintaining exceptional standards of workmanship and accuracy.
The Role
* Set up and operate a range of woodworking machinery
* Machine solid timber, MDF, plywood, laminates and veneered boards.
* Read and work from technical drawings and cutting lists.
* Produce high-quality components for bespoke joinery and furniture manufacture.
* Carry out quality checks to ensure all work meets company standards.
* Maintain machinery and keep the workshop clean, organised and safe.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Wood Machinist within a joinery or cabinet manufacturing environment.
* Confident operating a variety of woodworking machinery.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Strong understanding of timber, sheet materials and machining techniques.
* High attention to detail with pride in producing quality workmanship.
* Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a skilled workshop team.
