£80k - £90k Annual
Full-Time
We're recruiting a Data Engineer to join an organisation that's modernising its enterprise data platform and preparing for the next generation of analytics and AI driven solutions.
Working Pattern: 3 days per week in the office
You will be responsible for shaping how data is structured, governed and consumed across the business, with a strong focus on modern engineering practices rather than simply maintaining existing pipelines.
Working within a growing data team, you'll design scalable data models, build robust ELT pipelines in Databricks using SQL, Python and PySpark, and integrate data from multiple internal and third-party systems.
You'll collaborate closely with Analytics Engineers to ensure data is reliable, well-governed and ready to support business intelligence, automation and the next generation of AI-powered solutions.
This is a business undergoing significant transformation, including a major CRM migration and ongoing investment in modern cloud technologies. The role offers genuine influence over technical direction, giving you the opportunity to challenge existing approaches, improve platform architecture and help define long-term data standards, rather than simply delivering against predefined requirements.
You'll need experience with:
* Databricks, SQL, Python and PySpark
* Building and optimising ELT/data pipelines
* Data modelling, lakehouse architecture and modern data platforms
* Azure data services
* API and third-party system integration
* Data quality, governance, metadata and lineage
* Git, CI/CD and engineering best practices
This role would suit someone who enjoys solving complex data challenges, thinks beyond individual pipelines and wants to help build a modern, scalable platform that will underpin analytics, automation and AI across the business.
