Our client who is a well established manufacturing company based just outside of York, is looking for a skilled and experienced Production Planner to join their business.
As the Production Planner you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules, ensuring materials are available when required and supporting the efficient flow of work throughout the manufacturing process. You'll collaborate with multiple departments to optimise capacity, minimize inventory and help deliver products on time and in full.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer and business requirements.
* Plan material availability and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely supply.
* Optimize production capacity while supporting lean inventory levels.
* Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to meet changing priorities.
* Maintain accurate planning data
* Have a good understanding of Transport Planning
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for someone who is analytical, highly organised and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You'll ideally have:
* Previous experience as a Production Planner, Materials Planner or Supply Chain Planner within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
* Excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across multiple departments.
* A proactive approach with the ability to priorities workloads and work under pressure.
Working hours Monday to Thursday days
