Assembly Fitter - relocation to Tyrone, Northern Ireland
We are currently recruiting an Assembly Fitter to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in heavy machinery assembly who are looking for a permanent role offering long-term career development within a modern manufacturing environment.
Location: Tyrone, Northern Ireland
Salary: £37,000 per annum
Working Hours:
Monday - Wednesday: 6:00am - 5:00pm
Friday: 6:00am - 4:45pm Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Relocation Support: Available
About the Role
As an Assembly Fitter, you will play a key role in the assembly of heavy machinery and equipment, ensuring products are built to the highest quality standards. Working as part of an experienced production team, you will assemble mechanical, hydraulic and electrical components while following engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble heavy machinery to the required specifications and quality standards.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Assemble mechanical, hydraulic and electrical components using battery and air-powered tools.
Complete assembly and sub-assembly tasks efficiently while meeting production targets.
Support testing activities and assist in resolving assembly issues.
Carry out grinding and cutting operations using angle grinders where required.
Safely move components using overhead cranes and approved lifting equipment.
Follow safe lifting, lock-out and tag-out procedures at all times.
Ensure assembly tools and equipment are properly handled and maintained.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Comply with all Health & Safety regulations and company procedures. What We're Looking For
Minimum 2 years' experience assembling heavy machinery with hydraulic systems.
Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
Flexible approach and willingness to support different production activities when required. What We Offer
