Claims Handler – Liability & Personal Injury
Location: Leicester City Centre (Hybrid Working 3 days a week in office)
Pay Rate - £16.36 per hour
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with recent liability and personal injury claims experience who is looking to join a supportive team managing a varied caseload of negligence claims. As part of the Client's in-house claims team, you will be responsible for managing liability claims from initial notification through to resolution. You will investigate claims, assess liability, review evidence and work with internal departments, insurers and legal representatives to achieve fair and timely outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of liability and personal injury claims.
Investigate negligence claims and assess liability.
Review evidence, witness statements and supporting documentation.
Liaise with claimants, solicitors, insurers and internal stakeholders.
Negotiate settlements where appropriate.
Ensure claims are handled in line with legislation, Council procedures and service standards.
Maintain accurate records and provide updates throughout the claims process.
What We're Looking For
Minimum of 2–3 years' recent claims handling experience.
Experience managing liability and personal injury claims.
Strong knowledge of negligence claims relating to:
Public Liability
Employers' Liability
Third Party Liability
Motor Liability
Excellent investigation, negotiation and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and organisational abilities.
Ability to manage a varied caseload while meeting deadlines.
