Internal Sales Engineer - to £48k
Are you an engineer with a passion for solving customer challenges? Do you enjoy combining technical knowledge with commercial acumen to win business and build lasting customer relationships?
I'm looking for an ambitious Internal Sales Engineer to join the team of a global manufacturing business. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting customers, developing new business opportunities, and delivering technically accurate solutions that make a real impact.
What You'll Be Doing
Preparing detailed commercial and technical quotations for customers.
Managing enquiries from initial contact through to successful order placement.
Identifying new business opportunities and growing existing customer accounts.
Building strong relationships with customers and supporting our external sales team.
Reading engineering drawings and interpreting technical specifications.
Providing expert commercial and technical advice to customers.
Maintaining accurate CRM records and tracking project opportunities.
Ensuring quotations are delivered on time and meet company margin requirements.
Collaborating across departments to deliver exceptional customer service.You'll ideally have:
A degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Previous experience in technical sales, internal sales or applications engineering.
The ability to read engineering drawings and understand technical specifications.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A proactive approach with the confidence to take ownership and drive opportunities forward.
