Due to continued growth and a strong order book, our client is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Milling Programmer to join their skilled machining team. This is an excellent opportunity for a programmer seeking a long-term career within a modern manufacturing environment, producing high-quality precision components for a diverse range of industries.
The successful candidate will play a key role within the machine shop, taking responsibility for programming, setting and operating CNC milling machinery whilst helping to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement.
The Role
Programming, setting and operating CNC Milling machines
Creating and editing programs using FANUC controls
Manufacturing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances
Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings
Selecting appropriate tooling and machining strategies
Conducting first-off inspections and ensuring quality standards are maintained
Troubleshooting machining issues and implementing improvements
Working closely with colleagues across production to maximise efficiency and outputCandidate Requirements
Essential
Proven experience as a CNC Milling Programmer
Strong FANUC programming experience
Ability to set and operate CNC milling machinery
Experience manufacturing precision components to tight tolerances
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Self-motivated with the ability to work independentlyDesirable
Experience with 3-axis and/or 5-axis machining centres
Knowledge of CAD/CAM software
Apprentice trained or time-served engineer
Experience within precision engineering, aerospace, automotive or subcontract machining environmentsPackage & Benefits

37-hour working week
