Furniture Polisher
Location: Thame, Oxfordshire
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 depending on experience
Hours: Full-time, permanent
For over 20 years, DOIG has been synonymous with the finest bespoke cabinetry, creating exquisite furniture and timeless interiors for some of the most prestigious homes in the UK and overseas.
The role
An exciting opportunity for an experienced furniture polisher to run our polishing workshop in Oxfordshire. You will be working on a variety of projects from small individual pieces of furniture to larger fitted installations for the high-end residential market. The main responsibilities on top of furniture polishing will include:
Ordering of materials and stock control
Management of samples alongside the office team
Liaising with the workshop manager / project manager about workload, priorities and programme timelines
Quality control of works done
Managing and working alongside a polishing assistant
What you’ll bring
The successful applicant will have experience of staining solid timber and factory spraying to a high standard, including occasional high gloss work. An eye for detail and quality of finish is essential. In addition, good organisational and communications skills are essential as well as being self-motivated and passionate.
