A leading engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join its production team. The role involves fabricating and welding high-quality metal components from engineering drawings, ensuring all products are manufactured to precise specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
Measure, mark out, fabricate and assemble metal components.
Perform welding, grinding and finishing operations.
Ensure all required parts and materials are available before assembly.
Conduct quality inspections and complete quality documentation.
Work in accordance with health and safety requirements at all times.Beneficial Skills / Experience:
Previous experience in a Fabricator/Welder position.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience working with mild steel, Zintec and galvanised sheet metal.
Competent using fabrication and welding equipment.
Welding qualifications/certifications would be advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work with large metal components in a manufacturing environment.Working Hours
Days
Monday - Thursday: 7:00am - 4:00pm
Friday: 7:00am - 1:00pmAfternoons
Monday - Thursday: 2:00pm - 12:30am
Includes a 20% shift allowanceThe business is closed on Bank Holidays and operates a Christmas shutdown period.
