CNC Operator - Milling
Location: Maldon, Essex
Salary: Up to £15.50 per hour (DOE) + Overtime
Are you an experienced CNC Milling Operator looking to join a well-established precision engineering company? Our client is a growing subcontract manufacturer producing high-quality one-off and small-batch components for a range of industries, including Motorsport, Defence, and Pharmaceutical.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy workshop with plenty of overtime available and the chance to further develop your skills.
The Role
As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for:
Operating CNC milling machines to produce precision-engineered components.
Proving out jobs before production.
Working to extremely tight tolerances (down to 20 microns).
Inspecting your own work using precision measuring equipment.
Reading and following engineering drawings.
Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who has:
Previous CNC milling experience.
The ability to work to fine tolerances.
Experience carrying out first-off and in-process inspections.
Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.The following would be advantageous but are not essential:
CNC setting and programming experience.
Hurco or Fanuc controls experience.
Apprenticeship or engineering qualifications.
What's on Offer?
Up to £15.50 per hour, depending on experience.
Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (40 hours per week).
Regular overtime available.
Free onsite parking.
20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
PPE and workwear provided.
Contributory pension scheme.
