An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Architectural Technician or Architect to join a growing and collaborative architectural practice based in Taunton.

Working across a diverse portfolio of education, healthcare and community focused projects, you'll become part of a supportive studio that prides itself on delivering thoughtful, technically robust and sustainable design solutions that make a genuine difference.

This role would suit someone looking to broaden their experience, take ownership of projects and develop their career within a practice that values collaboration, professional development and long term progression.

Role & Responsibilities

Assist in the design and technical delivery of projects from concept through to completion
Produce planning, Building Regulations and technical drawing packages
Work closely with senior team members to coordinate projects across all RIBA stages
Liaise with clients, consultants and contractors throughout project delivery
Attend project and site meetings where required
Ensure projects are delivered in line with current UK Building Regulations and industry standards
Assist with design reports, presentations and project documentation
Contribute to a collaborative studio environment and support the continued growth of the practice
Requirements

Qualified Architect (ARB/RIBA) or Architectural Technician/Technologist
Experience working within a UK architectural practice
Good understanding of UK Planning, Building Regulations and construction detailing
Experience using ArchiCAD would be advantageous, although training can be provided
Strong communication and organisational skills
Passion for delivering high-quality architecture with excellent attention to detail
Previous experience within the education or healthcare sectors would be beneficial, although not essential
