The basics

Salary: £37,729.31 per year

Contract: Permanent

Location: Amplius south region (Milton Keynes and surrounding areas)

Work hours: Monday to Friday (4 days 08.30am - 5pm & 1 day 10am - 6pm)

What you’ll be doing

* Carrying out a wide range of plumbing repairs including leaks, blockages, taps, valves, sanitary fittings and pipework

* Diagnosing faults accurately and completing repairs on a first-time fix basis wherever possible

* Ensuring all work meets health & safety requirements, water regulations and internal standards

* Working in customers’ homes, communal areas and empty properties to deliver a responsive service

* Recording job details, materials used and outcomes using mobile technology

* Working collaboratively with other trades to complete multi-skilled repairs where needed

* Managing tools, equipment and stock responsibly

* Identifying and reporting safeguarding, compliance or property concerns

* Taking part in a 24-hour standby rota service when required

What you’ll need

* NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing (or equivalent qualification)

* Experience in domestic plumbing repairs in occupied and/or empty homes

* Good understanding of water systems and how to diagnose faults

* Ability to find and fix issues first time where possible

* Knowledge of water regulations and safe working practices

* Good communication and customer service skills in people’s homes

* Able to work on your own and manage your workload

* Comfortable using a mobile device to record job details

* Full UK driving license and willingness to travel

* Able to pass a DBS check and eligible to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
