ASD Teaching Assistant
Remedy Education are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic ASD Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school based in Greenwich.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has experience supporting children or young people with autism and additional needs. The school are looking for a calm, reliable and proactive Teaching Assistant who can support pupils with their learning, communication, behaviour and daily school routines.
Role Details:
Position: ASD Teaching Assistant
Location: Greenwich
Pay: £95-£115 per day
Hours: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP / September roles available
School Type: SEN / Secondary School Setting
The Role:
As an ASD Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support pupils with autism and a range of additional needs
* Work 1:1 and with small groups to encourage engagement and progress
* Help pupils access classroom activities and follow daily routines
* Support communication, social interaction and emotional regulation
* Assist teachers with learning resources and differentiated tasks
* Encourage confidence, independence and positive behaviour
* Provide a calm and consistent approach throughout the school day
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and wider support staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience supporting pupils with ASD or SEN
* A patient, caring and resilient approach
* Confidence supporting pupils with communication and learning needs
* Good behaviour management and communication skills
* Experience in a school, care, youth work, mentoring or childcare setting is desirable
* A positive attitude and willingness to get involved
* An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
