Permanent | £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Monday to Friday
7:00am – 4:00pm or 8:00am – 4:30pm

About the Role..

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Assistant Quality Manager to join a growing manufacturing business. Working closely with the Quality Manager, you'll play a key role in developing the Quality department, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining the highest quality standards across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support the Quality Manager in the day-to-day management and development of the Quality department.

* Investigate customer complaints from initial report through to root cause analysis, corrective actions, and resolution.

* Monitor quality performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

* Lead and support Lean Manufacturing and process improvement initiatives.

* Maintain and manage the company's ISO Quality Management System.

* Work closely with production teams to improve quality, reduce defects, and enhance customer satisfaction.

* Visit customer sites when required to investigate quality concerns and build positive customer relationships (no overnight stays).

About You..

We're looking for someone who is proactive, hands-on, and eager to develop their career within quality management.

You'll ideally have:

* Previous experience in a Quality Assistant, Quality Coordinator, or similar manufacturing quality role.

* Experience within the timber, joinery, or woodworking industry (preferred).

* Good knowledge of ISO Quality Management Systems.

* Experience supporting or implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects.

* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate quality issues and implement effective solutions.

* A hands-on approach, enjoying a role split between approximately 70% office and 30% factory floor.
