Document Controller

Location: Wellesbourne, Warwickshire

Job Type: PAYE Contract (6–9 Months)

Start Date: 17th August

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Salary: £15.00 to £18.00 per hour

Red Sky Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor for a Document Controller to join a busy site team based in Wellesbourne.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a major construction project, supporting the delivery team by managing project documentation, maintaining document control systems and providing general site administration support.

The Role

Reporting to the Site Management team, you will be responsible for ensuring all project documentation is accurately recorded, distributed, maintained and archived in accordance with project procedures.

You will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the project by maintaining document registers, coordinating drawing revisions, managing correspondence and assisting with general site administration.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate all document control activities across the project.

Maintain accurate records of drawings, technical documents and project correspondence.

Manage document revisions and ensure the latest information is distributed to the relevant project teams.

Create and maintain document registers, trackers and filing systems.

Maintain electronic and hard copy project records.

Process transmittals, RFIs and other project documentation.

Generate reports and document status updates.

Assist with booking site deliveries and maintaining plant and material records.

Support site administration, including inductions and payroll documentation for new starters.

Collate HSE documentation and weekly returns.

Issue weekly timesheets and assist the site management team with general administration.

Ensure documentation is handled in line with GDPR requirements.

About You

To be successful, you will ideally have:

Previous experience as a Document Controller or Site Administrator within the construction, civil engineering or infrastructure sectors.

Experience using Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms such as Aconex, Asite, Viewpoint 4Projects, BIM 360, Business Collaborator or similar.

Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.

Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Experience managing drawings, technical documents and document registers.

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a busy site environment.

Previous experience on major construction, infrastructure, rail, utilities or civil engineering projects would be advantageous.
