Looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant role this September?
The Supply Register is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Grantham to recruit a Teaching Assistant for a full-time position starting in September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school environment and make a meaningful impact on pupils' learning, development, and wellbeing throughout the school year.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils both academically and socially, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
This is a classroom-based role supporting pupils throughout the school day and contributing to their overall progress and development.
Key Responsibilities
Support teaching and learning within the classroom
Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and daily routines
Deliver small-group interventions where required
Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
What We're Looking For
Previous experience working with children in an education or care setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A patient, proactive, and supportive approach
Experience supporting pupils with additional needs is desirable
A genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential
This Role Is Not Suitable If:
You have no experience working with children
You are seeking non-education-based work
You are unable to commit to full-time school hours
You are not comfortable working in a classroom environment
