First People Solutions are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and highly respected contractor based in the Glasgow area.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong pipeline of work across civil engineering projects throughout Scotland.

The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced commercial team, supporting the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account while continuing to develop their career.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with the commercial management with a range of projects
Preparing valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and accounts
Producing cost reports and assisting with forecasting
Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
Supporting operational teams throughout project delivery
Building and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships

Requirements:

2-6 years' experience within a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management or a related discipline
Previous experience working on civil engineering or infrastructure projects
Strong commercial awareness and a willingness to develop
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Full UK driving licence
